Each week brings life changes....

I am in West Memphis, Arkansas at a dance competition watching my sweet baby girl dance!  We drove up last night and are getting ready to start a full day of dancing!  I have a few minutes before we start dancing so I thought I would update what has been going on lately!

One week from today my firstborn will be getting married.  Crazy how fast time goes by...not sure I like it.  I have several things on my to do list this week.  Can't wait for the wedding festivities. So excited to have a daughter-in-law!!

Last weekend we had a HUGE garage sale!  I used to love having a garage sale.  Loved the feeling of cleaning everything out...I still love that feeling, but the older I get, garage sales just wear me out!  I am still tired from it!:)  We did really well though.  Natalie and Matt both brought over lots of items to sell.  My garage was overflowing.  We started at 5:30 in the morning....early!!!!  We had people waiting at 5:15!  By nine o'clock I was ready for lunch.:)  I do love having my garage cleaned out and the extra cash!

Well, I had that extra cash for about 1 day...and then we bought Savannah a car!  We got her a little 2004 Volvo!  It is so cute.  I have enjoyed driving it around myself.  Savannah did not have her permit on Sunday when we bought the car, but on Monday she decided to take her exam and she passed.  So we now have a young driver in the family again.  She was motivated with that car sitting in the driveway!ha  So we have been driving in parking lots quite a bit this past week!

Got to see some of by Bible study friends this week.  Randy Dennis had surgery and we all went to the hospital and sat with Donna.  So good to see everyone, even under circumstances that we wished weren't happening.  So thankful for good friends.  They really make my life so rich!  Love each one of them.

Things They Are A Changin' Around Here...

I am trying to keep this blog updated so that I will have a record of what all goes on in our family. Days go by and I keep thinking I have got to update!! So I am going to try and catch up!

We are in full blown wedding mode! Two weekends ago we had three showers for Jessica and Matt. They were all so much fun. I say this all the time, but our family has some WONDERFUL friends and family. They received so many great gifts that will help start their lives off perfectly! I got to meet some of Jessica's extended family, and they were all so nice! Can't wait until I have a new daughter-in-law! I got the rehearsal dinner invitations in the mail today! I have a few decorating ideas floating around in my head in order to make this a special night for Matt and Jessica! Can't believe it is just 3 weeks away!!

My mom and my aunt came down last weekend for some shopping. We had so much fun! I love hanging out with the two of them. After shopping...Savannah and I met up with Paul at the cabin! We worked outside all weekend and got so much accomplished!! Had a little run in with a chipmunk, that scared me to death, but all is well. He had gotten inside our cabin, which none of us knew...and then he decided to come out of hiding just about the time I walked into the living room. I screamed bloody murder when he touched the back of my leg!:) Let just say I am not to fond of critters. Thank goodness for a courageous husband! I love this man, because he always saves me:)!! Savannah got part of it on video...the part where we get him outside....too funny!!

Well, one of my dearest friends is a grandma!! Yea!! Little River Cooper was born Thursday evening. He is a doll baby! Can't believe that Tracy is a granny!:)

We have been doing lots of projects around the house....cleaning up flower beds and painting. Which BTW....I just painted my front doors and I LOVE THEM! I painted them a turquoise color with a stained glaze on top. I am so excited that they turned out so good...gives the front porch a new look! We also have been sprucing up the pool area...it is almost "chill and grill" season!! YEA......

This weekend is Easter! Easter marks the beginning of a new season, which reminds me of the new beginnings we have in Christ! I am so thankful for a risen Savior who gave His life so freely for me! Hope you enjoy this weekend celebrating our Lord Jesus surrounded by the people you love!
