Spring Break Week....I LOVE YOU!!!!

Well I know it has been a few weeks since I have updated this blog. I kept thinking each day that I would, but the days come and go so fast. Especially when you are raising children, being a wife, being a friend, working a job....the list goes on and on! But this week is Spring Break....just writing those words makes me feel both peaceful and calm yet energized too. I mean who doesn't need a break every now and then. I know I sure do! Everyone needs a few days out of the ordinary routine to think and reevaluate things. I call it some "down time"!

So a few things that have been going on in my life over the past few weeks are wedding planning for Matt and Jessica, Megan and Brad's wedding, LOTS of decorating, Bible study and cheer tryouts..just to name a few! We are really getting down to the wire on Matt and Jessica's wedding. These are exciting times:)!

Saturday, Savannah left for a week of fun in the sun in beautiful Florida. She went with the Gosser family and several friends. After an exhausting week of cheer tryouts, which I am proud to say "she" or rather "we" made it through, a beach trip was just what the doctor ordered! She is having a blast. With no children at home, Paul and I decided to head to the cabin for a few days. I spent all day Saturday cleaning and regrouping at home, so that I could enjoy these few days away and come home to a clean house! I love order so much...makes me feel so good to leave knowing that I am coming home to order!

Savannah and her sweet friend Mckenzie...both made JV Cheer for 2012-2013!

So I am LOVING these quiet moments at the cabin. We got here Saturday night and after unpacking and settling in we are ready to enjoy these next few days! Yesterday our friends Mike and Pam Fox came for lunch and a relaxing afternoon. It was wonderful to sit and visit with good friends. Time seems to go by slower up here. Which, by the way, gives me a chance to update this blog.

Dear friends Mike and Pam.
This picture was taken a week ago at the wedding.

Jessica and Matt had their first shower a couple of weeks ago. This weekend we have 3 more showers to attend. I am so excited! Cannot wait for Matt and Jessica to begin this next phase of their lives. The pretty table setting along with one of the photos from their actual engagement!

Cute sign!!

Megan and Brad's wedding was another busy weekend. It started with the bridesmaid luncheon, rehearsal dinner and a full Saturday of helping Joy do whatever was needed and then the wedding. Megan looked beautiful and everything went well. I love weddings.

Paul and I at Megan and Brad's wedding! Fun night!

My Beth Moore Bible study ended last week. I will really miss meeting with all my sweet friends and discussing God's word. I would HIGHLY recommend this study. My favorite so far. I learned so much...I really want to do this James study again.

I have been working on several design projects. It is so fun seeing a room come together after all the planning and shopping. I find it so rewarding to see my clients be so excited about their new "look"! I am so thankful that my clients trust me into their most intimate spaces and allow me to be a part of their lives and homes.

The project below is a teenage girls bedroom. We had Angelfish Studios come in and do the walls. How awesome is this?? We made this a sitting area in her bedroom.

Love this so much. I will post more pics after we get it finished!

Whew...I am going to bed!!

Abundantly blessed....Lisa

Weeks Fly By.....my oh my!!!

I lower my head and when I raise it up it is Friday! Somehow, I have gone from Monday to Friday just by lowering and raising my head. Well....not literally...but it feels like that. During this week we ushered in another month....March. If you stepped outside you would swear it is May by the warm temperatures that we keep having, but it really is March! The first day of March is a special day in my family, because it is my sweet mom's birthday. This year she turned 78! Still can't believe that she is 78...she acts about 30! I know everyone thinks they have the best mom, but I really believe I do! Some of the words I would use to describe my mom are Godly, sweet, kind, helpful, loving, fun, wonderful seamstress, fantastic quilter, and just plain old nice!! Nicer than anybody I know...really!! So mom when you read this and I know you will:)...know that I love you more than you will ever know and I consider myself so blessed to have been raised by such a wonderful lady! Thanks and Happy Birthday Week!
